These make me come alive in a big way, which probably explains why Martial Arts, Zen and Travel have become such dominant passions in my life. Then there is making a living. A person needs to put food on the table in order to survive. Where or when do the paths of passion and livelihood intersect? Do they ever intersect? Should they ever intersect? For many of us passion and livelihood exist on two separate tracks. To build our livelihood around our passions, especially if those passions are diverse and unique, isn't a trivial matter. Yet, have you ever noticed how the word 'lively' is to be found in the word 'livelihood'? I don't really think that's a coincidence. How To Make A Website Built Around Your Passion I knew that I wanted to combine making a living with an area of passion and expertise. I wanted my livelihood to be a vehicle of self-expression and contribution; and I wanted self-expression and contribution to be my livelihood. I knew that such a synergy would bring with it much fulfillment. While the martial arts are an exceptional vehicle for self improvement, motivation and personal growth, they aren't for everyone. Not everyone has an interest in martial arts. And even among those who do, few have the required dedication and commitment to continue training as a path for life.
